For Tenants…

Housters is completely free for Tenants. They can send online rent payments to their Landlord or Property Manager, submit maintenance requests, and more.

For Vendors (aka Contractors)…

Housters is completely free for Vendors. They can share To-Do Lists with their client Landlords and Property Managers, send Invoices to clients for work completed, and receive online payments from clients.

For Landlords & Property Managers…

Free Trial

After signing up, you are entered into a 3 month free trial where you can use Housters without having to enter your billing information. During the free trial, all features of Housters are accessible both on the website and in the mobile apps, we do not limit you in any way.

Free Trial Expiration

Once the 3 month free trial ends, you will need to enter your credit card information to continue your Housters subscription. If you choose not to enter your billing information, your Housters account will be closed. At any time if you wish to regain access to Housters, you can log in, which will prompt you to enter your billing information. All of your data will still be there despite the closing of your account.

The monthly price to use Housters (after the free trial ends) is $1 (USD) per unit per month, with a $5 (USD) monthly minimum and a $40 (USD) monthly maximum. For example, if you are managing 10 apartments, the price will be $10 (USD) per month. If you are managing 7 single family homes, the price will be $7 (USD) per month. If you are managing 2 single family homes, the price will be $5 (USD) per month.

For international users, we simply charge the equivalent price in their local currency, based on exchange rates *at the time of signup*. If exchange rates change, their monthly price will still stay locked in at the rate they signed up at.

No Contracts

There are no contracts with Housters, you are never obligated to commit to using Housters for a certain period of time. The billing for your Housters subscription is month to month, and you can close your account at any time if you no longer want to be billed.

Online Payments

Housters uses a 3rd party vendor called Rotessa to facilitate online payments. The supported online payment flows in Housters are:

Tenant to Landlord or Property Manager, e.g. for a rent payment.
Landlord to Property Manager, e.g. for a property management fee.
Property Manager to Landlord, e.g. for sending on the rent minus a property management fee.
Landlord or Property Manager to Vendor, e.g. for a work order payment.

Sending online payments through Rotessa is completely free. This means that Tenants sending online payments, Landlords or Property Managers sending payments to the other, and Landlords or Property Managers sending payments to Vendors can do so at no charge.

If receiving online payments, Rotessa does charge a monthly fee based on the number of payments per month. Their pricing can be found here: https://rotessa.com/housters-rotessa-portal/ (which includes a 30% off discount for using it through Housters.)

Background Checks

Housters uses a 3rd party vendor called RentPrep for handling background check requests on tenants and applicants. Their pricing per plan is below:
